Wildly varied in its stylistic periods, the Victorian Era takes its name from Queen Victoria, ruling the UK and is far dominions from 1837 to 1901. Love of novelty, the birth of the industrial era, and a new middle class with dis-cretionary income fueled the design world. And we still love it today.
